Hello CVO members - First things first...thanks Don for the product review.  Having said that, the locking glove blox covers are currently available for '05-current Touring models with HD lowers.  I'm still working on the '04-earlier versions because there are two completely different HD glove boxes which require two different glove box cover designs. Stand by '04 and earlier owners.  My objective is to provide a great product at a price that blows everyone elso out of the water - kind of back to the basics of making a quality piece and selling it at a fair price. Here's the deal:  $99.95 for a pair of locking glove box covers with standard locks, installation hardware, instructions.  For an additional $20.00, I will have the locks matched to your existing HD key. Harley obviously will not release key codes to my locksmith, so you will have to send in your key for matching.  If you need/want an additional key the locksmith can cut them for $3.95 each which is a lot cheaper than HD's $10-20.  The only other charge will be for shipping/insurance which I can assure you will not be another ripoff "shipping and handling" charge and will be based on your ZIP code.  I expect the turnaround for orders to be about two weeks for keying.  Orders specifying standard locks will be sent immediately.  I'm working on a website for ordering but for right now, I'll take orders via PM right here.  Paypal accepted or mail me a check. Post your questions or PM me.  Thanks for your interest.  PJ

Had two separate requests during the day for right side images.  Should have done that last night.  My bad.  Here you go; right side door closed:

Right side door open.  Plenty of clearance between the door and the air cleaner cover.  The larger football style covers stick out farther in front but they're not any taller.  So I'd expect no clearance issues there either.  PJ's documentation also says there won't be.  That's good enough for me.

These are impressive.  IMO, one thing lacking in these and the HD/EGG doors is the ability to open them while riding.  I won't deny the safety risk of doing this, but I may want to pull something out once in a while when it isn't convenient to stop.  A friend installed the HD doors and replaced the locks with the HD push-button releases and it worked.

What would be the chance of buying the doors without the locks?  Or, you could offer them with the push-button releases for a bit more.  You can buy them at Zanotti's for $22.36 plus shipping.

Hey Iclick - thanks for the compliment on the product.  I'm not sure the harley pushbuttons would work because of the close tolerances required to make the lock engage (mine is definitely set up differently from the Eglide/Harley models).  I would not be inclined to sell the doors without locks for the obvious safety issues you describe.  If you're interested in buying the doors with the standards locks..cool.  I guess you could do what you want with them after receiving them, but I'll only sell with the locks installed.  Thanks for your interest.  PJ

Fellow CVOers - we came up with an improvement just today which makes the install even easier than Twolane described.  The spacer is now bonded to the unit and the fasteners are pre-loaded through the mounting plate. After the four OEM buttons are removed with a diagonal cutter or drilled out all you do is push the unit in place.  I did a complete install on one side, including removing the OEM buttons, in 35 seconds.  I bet my brothers I could do it in under 30, so... I had to buy the beer tonight.  PJ

Ah, I did that on the second side PJ.  Twolane's momma didn't raise no dumb boys after all.  Incredibly easy to just shove the plastic rivets through all the layers than shove the entire assembly in the bike.

Had someone this evening at dinner admiring the doors.  At a local crab shack and raw bar/bar that gets a lot of bike traffic.  Guy leaning against his Ultra looking at my doors.  As I walk out he says "those look better than mine."  I said "yeah, they are" and just rode away.

Ok, I'm not cool enough to say "yeah, they are" and just ride away.  No Fonze here.  Told the guy how to look you up here.  So maybe another set sold.

You can send a PM to PJ57.  He's not on the site everyday but is here often.  I'm sure he'll see the thread here before long and get something started for everyone.

Yup pencil me in on this one!  :2vrolijk_21:

Yea, thanks JC, just like the time she wanted me to put in a Sony radio to match her blue Digital gauges? That turned into new inner painted fairing, new Hawg wired speakers, Braided cables, chrome internally wired bars, new windshield, repaint outer fairing........all to put in a $200. head unit.

The covers arrived today and were installed in less time than it took to open the box. I think you have a winner here Peter!
Very fast shipping, great color match and looks to be a great product for a low price. Highly recommended  :2vrolijk_21:
