I do have some problem with oil consumption with the 110 . About 2 pint of oil per 3k miles . The dealer have open they engine at 3K miles. Run OK without oil for 5K and now it is back. Any opinion ...

What are you basing the "oil consumption" on?? Are you filling it to the fill mark and then it is finding it's own "sweet spot"?? What was done when the motor was "opened"?? What type of riding are you doing (hard, highway, local, etc)?? Give us so more information.

It burning 2 pints of oil every 3K is less then a quart every oil change (5k) and doesn't seem that much.... also if the oil is going to the same "sweet spot" everytime it just may be the level of oil your bike prefers and it could be "puking" it out back thru the intake.

Hi .. I just screw up my Km to Miles .. It was in Km and my ride is normal , local , highway , the bike just drink it , no black smoke, no spot on the floor, The first time they open they engine was for a rocker going bad .. been replace and after the change some head gasket. I can see some trace of oil at the bottom of the cylinder... but just a trace ... One more thing .. my FXSTB 07 ...modify to stage3 do not use a drop of oil between oil change.(SE synt) Even my old FX 84 1/2 will use some time 1/4 pint between oil change ... the 110ci will use 2 pint ... at that rate soon I will not have to change oil ... It will do it himself ... The Dealers say is normal .... I have some doubt .. Just trying to see if the Engine is a lemon or this is a know issue .... Is it a good idea to change the muffler to reduce the heat in the catalyst and install a oil radiator .. I wanted to keep it ... I'm good to keep them for 25 years.
