I guess someone needs to say it so I will.  The bike is not very exciting.  It looks like a Honda VTX.  I think they need to go back to the drawing board.

I'm thinking the Softtail was around prior to the VTX.  :confused5:  spyder

Spider,
Compare for yourself

Of course the softail was around first, but the bike still looks like a VTX.

I don't see the VTX so much as I see a bike that looks kinda goofy, and cobbled together from part that don't integrate well. Does anyone remember the FXRT? It made a lot of sense as a sport tourer, but it didn't sell well. Ducati's Multi-strada is the same, very functional, but not an attractive package.

That describes my assessment of it very well.  Could have been better/cleaner overall design.  I'm starting to notice that in a # of the Harleys.  Wonder why?  spyder

I like the bike. If I had a bigger garage (and wallet) I would consider the O/B.

Does anyone know why they didn't chrome the oil tank.

They painted the oil tank the same color as the frame. Much the same way as the custom bike builders do it.

I have seen the orange one in person and the bike is a solid 10. I would trade my 08 inferno Springer for it, but why spend another 10K? I love my springer, but this is the first bike I have seen in a while that gets me excited.

I also thought it was a little underdesigned, like a bike being built by 4 different engineers robbing the same parts bin, then revealing it only for the 4 groups to be surpirsed at it's oddness. But now it's growing on me. I saw on without the windscreen thingy...and a larger billet headlight installed.

In O/B it was hard to hate,,,and kinda easy to like.

I traded my 09 street glide for the 2010 CVO convertible and glad I did.  The glide was a little tall for me even though it is lowered. I am 6' tall but with a 31.5 inseam. Never felt sure footed even after changing the seat. The glide also had bad wind buffeting that would give me killer headaches and red eyes after long rides at highway speeds, even though I tried 5 windshields. The only one that worked was the full size one but don't want to look though it.
Riding the convertible reminds me of riding my chopper again. Feel like i,m in the bike and very sure footed. Added engine guard, pegs and the king low windshield. It is just as comfortable as the glide with maybe being a little harder on big bumps in the road. This bike is also an attention getter. People always telling me how beautiful she is. Being able to have a hotrod bike and change to a touring bike in about a minute is awesome. By the way it is the orange and black one. I also installed the screamin eagle exhaust and xied. Big change in power of the bike. Will get some pictures up soon. ;D ;D

I think its the best looking bike H-D has this year, If i were single, I would have one, I test rode one in Myrtle Beach, love the way it sits and handles.
