Transmission Top Cover Options
« on: July 26, 2009, 11:05:08 PM »

Gasket is seeping on the top cover of the 05 SEEG.  Only a tiny bit.  Not even messy (yet) but might as well fix it.  Pro-One used to offer a ball milled top cover for the Evos.  Just did a brief search and found zilch in potentially better look options for any trans behind a Twin Cam.  Anyone know of anything?

No.  The stock chromed one is not bad, but with your SEEG having all the good looking grooved parts....a ball milled one would be dyn-a-mite!  ;) spyder

I didn't find a single alternative.  Was a little surprised that with seemingly everything offered up in some variation somewhere in the aftermarket that no one has jigged up some variation of the tranny top cover.  Oh well....

Changed the seeping gasket last night.  OE chrome cover right back on.  Good to go.

The engraver that did the forks?  Suppose they could do something.  Was really only worth the trouble if I could find something I liked easily.  Not a big deal though.  Fifteen minutes changes it though.  So might get a wild hair someday.  Never know.
