I would say you got a GREAT deal with those bikes just coming into the market.

Good luck with it.

I must be gettin old. :nervous:  I never thought I'd be saying this but it was a nice ride last night with a quiet bike.  If I could get the performance and keep it that quiet..........I sure would. :2vrolijk_21:  Never had a motorcycle that I could hear the stereo (and clearly) at 100 mph.

I also found it interesting that the break in is up to 4000 rpm for the first 50 miles and 5000 rpm for the first 500 miles.  With the six speed you can actually move along pretty good with that rpm range, for the break in period. :2vrolijk_21:  The hard part is to not maintain speed and having to slow back down for periods of time, just to vary the speed.  I just want to go......go.......go! :2vrolijk_21:

Not sure where they got the name Concord for this blue bike.  The others are named after alcoholic drinks (spiced rum, Tequilla..... ,etc.)  I guess Concord (after the wine grapes) is the closest they could come for the blue bike.  Color wise, it's very close to the "cobalt" if not exactly the same.......a beautiful bike!

I got this bike at $1000 below MSRP and $500 credit back on the dealer prep.  At Redding Harley Davidson, here in Nor Cal.  Jon (Jonga) is getting exactly the same deal on his 2010 SEUC in Burnt Amber and Citrus (it'll be in about five weeks).

They have several other CVOS that they're dealing on, too.  He said that a couple of the 09s will get a better deal than I got (the 09 SE Dyna model with the weird dual headlights is one of them).  They have a blue and silver 09 SEUC and a yellow 09 SE Springer that'll get the same deal that I got.  First I heard of a CVO below MSRP and then a credit back of $500 on the $850 that's charged for the dealer prep.

For those shopping for a 2010 in Calif. here are the numbers:

Calif. MSRP (Calif. emissions) on the SESG is $31,199 but they deducted $1000 off of that from the start......$30,199
Dealer Prep was $844 however, with the $500 credit back, it was...........................................................     344
Freight...     380
Lic...     460
Doc Fee...       55
Tax...   2,754.33
7 year extended warranty with the Tire and wheel coverage at 15% discount............................................   1,580

Out the door total... $35,709.33

If you're looking for a bike in Cali. you might want to call Redding HD and ask for Nathan. :2vrolijk_21:

Congrats on the new bike!

Like you, I've been riding a 2004 SEEG and was very pleased with the changes over the past few years. I too enjoyed the quiet ride, but have to get it running better. Have you given any thought to the pipes or tuner you will use?

Enjoy,
Dave

Congrats JC!

I hope this new bike will give you as many smiles as the 04 did.

I knew once you rode Terrie's 09 with that new frame you would be hooked.

That Concord Blue is my favorite color of the 10 SESG's.

Now, there is no excuse to head out this way.

Forgot to mention..............I have an 04 SEEG (blue and black, of course!) for sale.  Jim has it right now....going to try to sell it for me......give him a call.  You can buy it and keep it out here for your west coast bike. :)

What's he going to do first you ask?  Well, today we're going to get the extended shifter rods put on it so I can move my feet around just a tad bit.  Oh yea, and the 8" dark tint Windvest shield.....so I can get rid of the buffeting.

I've got plans.....just don't have the $.  Somebody hurry up and buy that SEEG, I need the money. :)
