Congrats on the new bike.  Hope it serves well for a long time.  Hadn't noticed until the pics here that the rear fender extensions on these bikes didn't have a lower light in them as the Street Glides do (or at least used to).

JC,
Congrats on getting the "Grape".  It looks great.  :2vrolijk_21: Like you one of the first things to go was that blasted wind deflector.  I replaced mine with a 9 1/2 winshield because at 6'4" I need a little higher version...but that made all the difference.  I agree with you that quiet is nice, but to me it's not a "Harley sounding" quiet.  Mine more burbles, then rumbles, and I want that rumble... ::)

Enjoy the ride JC, but I know that goes without saying.

I must be gettin old. :nervous:  I never thought I'd be saying this but it was a nice ride last night with a quiet bike.  If I could get the performance and keep it that quiet..........I sure would. :2vrolijk_21:  Never had a motorcycle that I could hear the stereo (and clearly) at 100 mph.

I also found it interesting that the break in is up to 4000 rpm for the first 50 miles and 5000 rpm for the first 500 miles.  With the six speed you can actually move along pretty good with that rpm range, for the break in period. :2vrolijk_21:  The hard part is to not maintain speed and having to slow back down for periods of time, just to vary the speed.  I just want to go......go.......go! :2vrolijk_21:

Ive been trying to tell you all this for the past 5 years.   :D   Congratulations JC on your new ride.  :2vrolijk_21:

Cool! Too bad you didn't have it a few weeks back for Jim's open house for all to see. We all get to see it at Street Vibrations right?...

Not sure where they got the name Concord for this blue bike.  The others are named after alcoholic drinks (spiced rum, Tequilla..... ,etc.)  I guess Concord (after the wine grapes) is the closest they could come for the blue bike.  Color wise, it's very close to the "cobalt" if not exactly the same.......a beautiful bike!

I got this bike at $1000 below MSRP and $500 credit back on the dealer prep.  At Redding Harley Davidson, here in Nor Cal.  Jon (Jonga) is getting exactly the same deal on his 2010 SEUC in Burnt Amber and Citrus (it'll be in about five weeks).

They have several other CVOS that they're dealing on, too.  He said that a couple of the 09s will get a better deal than I got (the 09 SE Dyna model with the weird dual headlights is one of them).  They have a blue and silver 09 SEUC and a yellow 09 SE Springer that'll get the same deal that I got.  First I heard of a CVO below MSRP and then a credit back of $500 on the $850 that's charged for the dealer prep.

No more SEEG??? Are you keepin it or did you trade it??
