Progressive Air Shocks on an Ultra
« on: August 20, 2009, 02:28:20 PM »

I took my stock shocks off the other day and laid them on the floor of the garage and, well most of you know what happened. After pricing new factory shocks I bought/installed a set of Progressive Suspension 416-1607A 12.6" air shocks on my 05 Ultra. Now I have a question about clearance.

The top of the front edge of the air chamber is real close to the frame, 1/16 to 1/32 inch, and I was wondering if anyone else has used these shocks and if that clearance is normal? I'm not sure if the top of the shocks moves enough to make contact with the frame.

In case anyone else is looking for or thinking about changing to Progressive Suspension I got them from www.onestopmoto.com and saved a lot of bucks.
