NVTHIS:

Thanks for the kind words.

I had to travel about 468 miles each way to/from Jacksonville, FL or 930 miles total in about 24 hours and it was well worth it for me!!!

All of the dealer staff to a person were very professional and helpful. The dealer was in Dalton, Georgia about 22 miles south of Chattanooga, TN

The dealers name is Mountain Creek Harley-Davidson. I dealt with the sales Manager Charles Keith who was terrific.

I had a lot of "Windshield time" to think about things like what was the drop off pattern for the last "batch" of CVO's. I cam up with the conclusion that most all of the dealers who received these were right off of or near I-75 all the way through Florida. Who know where the next batch will show up or when.

WHAT DO I THINK about the new bike???

Well it is by far one of the best motorcycles I bought to date. It's smooth, powerful, well built, and you can tell that the quality and attention to detail is there.

I really like the paint design front to back and the color but then I am partial to blue. To really get a good look at the color and the design detail the pictures that were posted here are top quality. Especially if you enlarge them.

Even if you are looking at one of the other colors you will get good idea of the quality of the paint and graphics and how the design looks.

I will tell you that the CVO Sales Brochure doesn't do justice to the bike. It's far, far better looking in person!!!

The wheels are stunning to say the least.

The only negative for me is that it's so damned quiet I feel like I am riding a Gold Wing. That will be remedied shortly with some Reinharts.

I am going to remove the front slider reflectors and figure out what I want to do with the rear license plate mess. Other than that I plan on riding and getting used to it some before any other changes are made.

Besides, BIKETOBERFEST in Daytona is coming up next month. All of the major vendors will be down there showing their new stuff and tempting my wallet. It's only 75 miles each way for me so its a nice ride.

Interesting stuff that I discovered and didn't know beforehand:

--It comes with a air cleaner cover that I have dubbed the"shower cap". If it starts to rain you slip this black cover on top of your chrome air cleaner to keep the water out. Neat!!!

--The hard bag liner/luggage inserts come with the bike.

--I am told that you can really see the new tail lights and the vote is you don't need any more for safety reasons.

I am very pleased to join the CVO Members here and to have the pleasure of owning one of these bikes. I look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone here.

Regards

You talking about the Softail Convertable?  They have one at my dealer in Richmond, VA.  Although I'm not a big fan of blue bikes, it looks really nice.   :2vrolijk_21:

Congrats on the new SESG!  The rain sock prevents water from getting into the oiled filter element (my '09 Springer has the Heavy Breather air intake and the filter element is pretty much completely exposed to the weather.) The filter on the SG is a little more covered but the sides are still vulnerable.  I just keep it in a plastic bag at the bottom of my saddlebag (next to the rain suit).

Enjoy the new bike - safe riding!

I purchased my new CVO street Glide from my local dealer " Street Track an Trail" in Conneaut lake PA. I traded in my 2006 Road Glide Standard, with 14K miles on it, and walked away at $ 22,281.94 tax title out the door. I owed $ 5300.00 on my bike. They also said ride mine until the new one comes in. Oct 6, 2009 delivery date. I was told that H.D. is only letting their dealers have (1) of the tequila bikes.

Has anyone seen any 2010 SESG in Canada yet? Ordered a Spiced Rum in August sight unseen.

Derek from Tri-County called me yesterday, they have a CC SESG on the floor. Original purchaser's deal fell through so it is available. Didn't discuss price as I have SR SESG locked in, but Derek seems like a straight-shooter - some others there maybe not so much  :-\

For those that are not familiar, Tri-County HD is located just north of Cincinnati Metro:

Did you get $800 under list and then they charged you for freight and handling or did you get $800 off plus free freight and handling? If it was the first price you simply paid MSRP and they dicounted the freight and handling.

I wonder if you pay a sales tax if you're from out-of-state?

Here is a good pic of the tail light on the "international" bikes showing the additional light added to the fender.  Note also the turn signals are changed to yellow as compared to the "domestic" model that has red for both brake and signals.........
