NVTHIS:
Thanks for the kind words.
I had to travel about 468 miles each way to/from Jacksonville, FL or 930 miles total in about 24 hours and it was well worth it for me!!!
All of the dealer staff to a person were very professional and helpful. The dealer was in Dalton, Georgia about 22 miles south of Chattanooga, TN
The dealers name is Mountain Creek Harley-Davidson. I dealt with the sales Manager Charles Keith who was terrific.
I had a lot of "Windshield time" to think about things like what was the drop off pattern for the last "batch" of CVO's. I cam up with the conclusion that most all of the dealers who received these were right off of or near I-75 all the way through Florida. Who know where the next batch will show up or when.
WHAT DO I THINK about the new bike???
Well it is by far one of the best motorcycles I bought to date. It's smooth, powerful, well built, and you can tell that the quality and attention to detail is there.
I really like the paint design front to back and the color but then I am partial to blue. To really get a good look at the color and the design detail the pictures that were posted here are top quality. Especially if you enlarge them.
Even if you are looking at one of the other colors you will get good idea of the quality of the paint and graphics and how the design looks.
I will tell you that the CVO Sales Brochure doesn't do justice to the bike. It's far, far better looking in person!!!
The wheels are stunning to say the least.
The only negative for me is that it's so damned quiet I feel like I am riding a Gold Wing. That will be remedied shortly with some Reinharts.
I am going to remove the front slider reflectors and figure out what I want to do with the rear license plate mess. Other than that I plan on riding and getting used to it some before any other changes are made.
Besides, BIKETOBERFEST in Daytona is coming up next month. All of the major vendors will be down there showing their new stuff and tempting my wallet. It's only 75 miles each way for me so its a nice ride.
Interesting stuff that I discovered and didn't know beforehand:
--It comes with a air cleaner cover that I have dubbed the"shower cap". If it starts to rain you slip this black cover on top of your chrome air cleaner to keep the water out. Neat!!!
--The hard bag liner/luggage inserts come with the bike.
--I am told that you can really see the new tail lights and the vote is you don't need any more for safety reasons.
I am very pleased to join the CVO Members here and to have the pleasure of owning one of these bikes. I look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone here.
Regards
