Ride down and Out

When death hits so close to home with a fellow rider, sometimes a guy begins to wonder if this hobby is really worth the risk.

Les, a member of our HOG, group didn't make it home here.  His wife survived and is now back here in Manitoba healing up.  Les's funeral was yesterday.  He was down in Sturgis, was coming back home after visiting his son in Calgary, had the visit, left Calgary coming back home here and collided with a semi. Details are still sketchy.  This is a very hard pill to swallow.  Fire Chief and just all around upstanding pillar of the community.  he will be missed in a big way.  This just sucks.

 :( This is how I fill right now. A true hero, a man that puts it on the line everyday on every run, every time the tones it. Yes, I'm talking about the tones, if you are a first responder you know what that is. My heart goes out to his family and the community that he serviced. Thank you.

Town is La Riviere Roy.  Hour and a half SW of Winnipeg.
