"The run on September 27th is called "Tunnel to Towers" and it follows the final steps of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller. Siller ran through the Brooklyn/Battery Tunnel on the morning of 9/11, carrying roughly 65 pounds of gear, to help with rescue efforts. He did not survive.

During the run, firefighters wearing banners with the faces of all 343 FDNY firefighters who died line the inside of the tunnel as the runners go past. The Syracuse firefighters who participated in last year's event described it as an incredibly moving experience".
