First I want to thank everyone for Praying for my daughter,,, PRAYERS do WORK!

Update,, my daughter is still not out of the woods but she is stable for now, meaning she is not getting any worse which is great news.
She is till on a vent which is doing all the breathing for her so she can rest without struggling to breath.  They are also cutting down the
amount of Oxygen that they are giving her as well. We will know more tomorrow.

Again Thanks to everyone for you phone calls and prayers...

Keep strong Mike, she needs you.  :2vrolijk_21:

Mike, we need an update.

Sorry for leaving everyone hanging.....

First I can't  say enough about the power of prayer THANKS to everyone in that dept.

Update   Saturday Amie had taken seems like two steps backwards as her fever came back and her chest x-ray was a bit worse from the previous day... The Doctors says that we are in a wait and see mode....

SUNDAY  just like daylight and dark her fever is gone and she is responsive to questions you ask her.  She still has the vent but she is breathing on her own without the help of the ventilator. They also turn the O2 down from where it was.  Something else that I don't completely understand is that her "Peeps"??? I guess I said that right are at 16 and needs to be at 4 or 5 before they can get rid of the vent.  That is one thing that she would like to get rid of right now.  I also thought Peeps were something that you bought around Easter go figure.

Today I think that she has taken 4 GIANTS  steps forward  which I think is GREAT NEWS from where she was.....
She is still in ICU but if things keep going like today she will be out soon.  I'm still asking everyone to PLEASE keep praying for Amie.

Again thanks to everyone for your PRAYERS for Amie

My thoughts and prayers for her recovery your way Bubba.

PEP is "Positive Expiratory Pressure" and it's used for relief of secretionary problems in patients with acute as well as chronic obstructive lung diseases, ( like cystic fibrosys , bronchitis  and such). One of my brothers had some really severe bronchitis one time and he was on that treatment for more than a week.

Hope she's up and at them shortly!

Thanks Joe for the explanation,,,,,

Amie is doing a little better today as they decrease her O2 to 70% and so far she is maintaining it.  Her PEP is still high still around 16.  Today She has
been in a bit of pain so they doped her back up to where she could rest today.  Hopefully she is on the downhill slide to recovery...
It seems now we are getting good news instead of bad. :orange: :mango: :apple: :pineapple: :2vrolijk_21:

Again thanks to all for your PRAYERS it means allot...

Thanks
