A lot of the Nor Cal members have the Freedom exhausts.  Many run their cams, too.

44 degrees outside and cracked the 1,100 mile mark the pipes are AWESOME !!!

Sure do like the look of those manly sized pipes.  Did you do much tuning after you put those on when you still had the factory headers and CAT?

Here is the video with the Vance & Hines Power Duals Head pipes installed. No tuning IMO this is an exhaust only mod so didnt feel it was needed. Probably could tweek a little out of it but didnt feel the need.

I do plan on using the SEST and changing the Cams in the spring

You're still running the stock download in the ECM after getting rid of the CAT and the restrictive mufflers?  ???  I would think that your bike is running even more lean than the 14.7 AFR that it came from the factory at now that it's got a free-flowing intake and exhaust system on it.   IMO, you should get it tuned, if anything to bring that AFR down.  :nixweiss:

Common thought but the mixture on o2 controlled bikes is adjusted by the ECM to the signal from the sensors. It corrects for the mods and adjusts back to 14.7 in closed loop and its rich anyway in open loop.

Pre 2007 bike possibly need intervention but changes to filters and pipe do not require. :2vrolijk_21:

Now cams and head mods will likely exceed the ECM capability to adjust.

Interesting, but all they talk about at the beginning of the article is no re-mapping required if you just change the mufflers...nothing about changing the headers.  Also going down the article more, it even points out that the Stage 1 re-map provides and even better increase in torque and horsepower over leaving the ECM at the factory settings.   Kind of a mixed message in that article.  I'll stay with remapping my ECM when I change everything out.  I've already lowered the AFR on my bike to around 13.9.  So I may be wasting some money (according to Nightrider), but I'll feel better about it.  JMO.
