A quick bit of personal info.
I'm greybeard rider with a lot of years in the saddle.
I started out early on with a love of bikes that just seemed to grow as I did.
My first Factory built bike was a little Honda 55 I learned to ride at age 12.
I've had a couple of small bikes including a Ducati 250, a Benelli 260 and a 305 Honda before stepping up to a Triumph 650 which I've owned several including TR6's T120"s and even A T120tt.
Many years ago a friend offered me a basket '66 FLH that I took a little more than a couple of years making a new bike out of.
I rode it for near 20 years and was happy with it.
About 5 years ago my long time riding partner and I were out Hunting and he missed a turn, drove off a cliff and the resulting injury (shattered pelvis, broken back) and repeated surgeries convinced me I would never ride again so Even though I couldn't bear to part with the old bitch I did the only thing I could and gave it to my son, much to his delight.
Then after a couple of years of mending, I started to feel like I had to get back in the wind so I used most of what was left of the insurance settlement and purchased a New SuperGlide.
I have been slowly making upgrades (hard to do on a fixed SSD income) and improvements to it.
One thing I've learned though is that even though I was very familiar with the old FLH this TC96 is making me feel like a squid. I have to research everything I think about doing in order to understand what result I can expect.
I do ride a lot though and really enjoy the bike. It's now 13 months old and has a little over 23,000 miles on it.
