The National Steinbeck Center in Salinas, CA.
One of my favorite authors

Thanks for taking the pic JC!

You're welcome!

I think Buy Early would have to agree you've won this thread as far as posting pics of your bike in famous or "known" places go.

I recognize where you took the pic of Half Dome.  I backed my bike up on the rock and just when I got ready to take the pic a park ranger come rolling around the curve to tell me that I was breaking a law by taking my bike off the road. ::)

And I recognize the Steinbeck Center right away......kind of easy since I took that pic. :nixweiss:

And while it might not qualify as a famous or "known" place, I recognized your driveway from Terrie and my first RLAP training.  :)

Just want to add that it's great having you for a friend Mark and I've enjoyed the rides and GTGs that we've shared! :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks JC, I appreciate that and look forward to many more GTGs with everyone. One thing I always try and do when I go somewhere is take a pic with my bike in it. As I was going through all the pics over the years, it turned out to be a not only a history of my trips, but a history of my receeding hairline. It was nice to see that at one time, yes, I did have hair,....LOL!!!!

Here's a pic of me with some hair. It was taken in 1990 when I was in El Paso on business. The officer in the background is the cop who let me take his patrol bike for a spin.

I've made an observation...the last decade or so all of my riding buddies have lost hair...about the same time back then California legislated in a helmet law...therefore could it be that the helmets are causing our hair loss. :-\  I think I'll apply for a government loan to study this and will be looking for volunteers for two control groups :2cr_01: and :2vrolijk_02:  Doc

Could it be that some lawmaker who rides was losing his hair?   :confused5:
