The Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems for automobiles now use a electronic device attached to the tire valve itself so you no longer have to use that gigantic hose clamp device. I used to think it was all a lot of BS but have become a believer in the system. The nicest part is the warning that a tire is losing pressure long before the tire is flat.
How nice that would be when you only have two tires.
The electronics are compact enough so I'll bet it won't be long before we see it on the new bikes as a option. It's one safety device I would opt for.
