So sorry to hear about the accident, but nice to hear your special young passenger was OK. Shame the workers left that chit on the roadway, maybe you can get something out of pursuing that error on their part. The knee will take quite some time to recover, and the physical therapy is long term from my experience. Best wishes on your recovery!

Hang in there Rob and try to be thankful for the positives out of the accident (daughter wasn't hurt and you were not hurt worse).....you'll heal and the pain & suffering will slowly leave.  It seems like forever, but ea. day will bring more healing.  The price we pay for this sport/lifestyle can sometimes be tough, but we know that and are reminded in the harsh reality from time to time.  Stay safe and hug that daughter often.  spyder

surgery went well. knee has 4 screws in it and the tibia has a metal plate to keep it all togather with 6 screws. very good doctor. hope will be back in action soon .... thank you all once again for all the support. best wishes to all.hope next year i will ride again.

Good to hear that much is behind you Rob.  Glad you got a good surgeon.  It'll be a long miserable time waiting to ride, I can tell you from recent experience since I just got back in the saddle after being laid-up all summer.  But, it'll be sweeter than ever when you do.  I spent a lot of time chatting with all the good folks on this forum which helped me kill the time not riding. And searching for parts to rebuild the bike helped pass the days also.  Keep us apprised of your rehab progress and we'll be praying for a speedy recovery time for ya.  spyder
