Who makes the best tuner?
« on: March 26, 2010, 09:05:25 PM »

Heard a few different opinions so far, but who makes the best tuner in regards to conrollability and options?

The build is an '03 SE RK 103" motor, 10.6:1, 251 cam, CVO heads cleaned up and mildly ported.

Thanks

Moved your thread because the board you had posted it in is not a discussion board and members would not be able to comment on what is the best tuner. However in saying that unless you are going to be doing the tuning yourself you may want to rely on the suggestion of the person tuning your bike.... he/she will recommend the tuner they are most comfortable with and in return more then likely will provide you with the best tune to their abilities.

I plan on doing all of my own tuning and am renting time on a dyno. I am very familiar with a few different engine tuning software companies, GM's MEFI (marine electronic fuel injection) who actually made Harlys's ECU hardware and software, and all of the Bosch Motorsports line of gasoline and diesel products. I have done several different engines from a "clean sheet" so I am not worried about the complexity. My only problem is that I am not familiar with any software for a v-twin engine and want something that can manipulate everything in the ECU so that I have the most control.

Thanks

Many here have tried and are happy with TTS Mastertune for its ease of use and self tuning abilities... try searching the site for those threads.

After reading everything on this board about PC V's, T-MAX, SERT, ETC, I went with the Fullsac and TTS route. Very little negative feed back, ease of use, and I am computer stupid, and I have no access to a dyno at my comand. I just popped in one of Steve's maps from Fullsac and went riding that afternoon. Loading took me about 3 hours because of me, not the system. Give Steve a call, and he will tell you what this system can do with your knowledge . Andy.

I'd say TTS Mastertune or Dynojet PCV with Autotune. PCV may have an advantage having wideband O2 sensors. PCV on my 110.

Either is a great choice.
