Evo Oil Pressure Test Plugs
« on: March 28, 2010, 02:10:22 PM »

I have a FXR4 and was wondering if the 1340 Evo has any oil pressure test plugs other than the 2 on the back side of the rear jug where the oil pressure sending unit is.
Thanks

SEFXR4, I think the place where the oil pressure sending unit, and the plug for the tappet screen are the only two places you can test oil pressure. I put an oil pressure gauge where my tappet screen is. I can't see it when I am riding, but at a stop light I can see what my oil pressure is. Right now I have about 10-12lbs at idle with the oil at 180-200 degrees. I use Amsoil Heavy Duty 60 WT synthetic. It keeps the valve train quieter and it is compatable with dino oil. I am running an S&S 107 Evo style engine in my 1995 Heritage. CAHDBIKER
