I dont think the 407/408 front will outlive the rear from what I'm seeing... looks like both will go about the same time... no more 20K + miles for the front versus about 10K on the rear.

Wow, the progress in modern materials development is just staggering...

The upside is the tires seem to bite better...

Time will tell, but I've just started riding again... been busy with family and home stuff, so from November till mid-March was non-riding... I'm about 8K behind my normal curve.

Got 10k outta the rear, 15k outta the front. The sides of the front tire have worn to the wear bars while the middle section of the tire still has decent life. Left side of the tire is worn considerably more than the right. I've never worn out the sides of the tire before the middle on a Harley before this.

I replaced both of mine a tad early @ 13,800.  I could of gone another 2-3 K and the rear would have needed it.  I like replacing them as a pair.  Plus in the Northwest with the rain and the big twisties in the Cascades I want traction.  If it were the end of the summer I would have road the extra 3 k.
