Anyone have the Part# for the mounting hardware kit referenced...the specific model is for 2010 FLHXSE???

Rider Backrest Kit - CVO™ Street Glide® Style

 51839-10

Fits '88-later Touring models (except Trike) equipped with one-piece slotted seat. Installation requires separate purchase of model-specific Rider Backrest Mounting Hardware Kit.

I'll pull out my invoice for both parts and the retail cost of each.
Check back in a few hours.

OK ... here is what my invoice shows:

51839-10       Backrest, CVO Style          $249.95
52589-09       Install Kit                        $ 29.95

Install kit was ordered for a 2010 CVO Street Glide, I had no issues with the kit when I installed it.

Hope this helps .... anybody know if they make a backrest "carry bag"? I'm thinking a nice zippered protective bag to put the backrest in and then throw it in the saddlebag when not in use. Not only to protect the backrest, but to protect other items that may be in the bag with it.

Let me know if you guys have some ideas ...

Thanks...I ordered the backrest (in transit) but I forgot to order the mount/install kit. They should have the install kit in-stock at my dealership.

yep...just make sure you get the mounting kit for the 09 and later.  There's a difference.

The adjustable backrest that the dealer put on my bike tore apart the new replacement seat, so HD sent another new seat and is swapping out the adjustable backrest (which they told the dealer would not work) for the CVO backrest.  I hope the new backrest is as comfortable as the old one.

Now if I could just get my left blinker to work and the cruise control to stop acting up the bike would be perfect!

Is this in a supplement to the basic catalog?  I love it and am getting it  :2vrolijk_21:  Now, I have to answer to mama-I need a drink  :drink:

The dealer couldn't find it, I had to give them the part numbers off of this site!  Classic ::)

I asked mine to do the same thing!  Told them there was some really great information on this site that may save their techs time and their clients $.  Their ego is too big to do it.

Thinking about the backrest.  Are you guys pleased with it?  Appreciate thoughts. Thanks.

While it's not as comfortable as the adjustable backrest (for obvious reasons), I'm actually happy with it.  It also looks good on the bike with the stock seat and backrest.
