I wanted to get OEM side plates for my FXR2. The pn's are 52797-87 and 52798-87. Dealer said these are no longer available. Does anyone have an ideas?

They have most everything FXR.  You'll have to look around.

The only place I found mine was eBay.  It took about a 2 months to find and get a set at a decent price.  While watching I saw NOS sets sell anywhere from $9 to $96.  I wish I had bid on the $9 ones!  You can get aftermarket ones from Chromewerks.

 I have a set of brand new never used chrome OEM FXR side covers which I'd be willing to sell you.  However, I'll warn you that the left side cover does not fit on my FXR3 because of the brake reservoir placement which is welded.  Also, these covers were not cheap.  I spent @ $100.00 including shipping costs because I had to order each side from different dealerships. PM me if you want to buy them.

Sorry, I misread/misunderstood what you were looking for. You want sideplates not side covers. My mistake.

Hi Ken......are you looking for the smaller side covers, or the 'Ness' type that came with the 2-3-4 FXRs?
