i was kinda bored last nite so i pulled out my owner's manual  and on page 70 it says we have  automatic compression  release's   on our motors   
iam having a hard time believing this  since we are low compression motors   9.1 aprox  is this a misprint or something

Not a misprint...  There are automatic compression releases due to the overlap of the cam.  It's a low compression motor, but the lack of overlap in the stock SE 255 cam creates high cylinder pressure (and low end torque - and heat).
