 It was my pleasure to leave work early today and meet Marty for the beginning of his ride east. I escorted him 120 miles to Barstow, Ca. to meet up with Don for their ride to North Carolina. And so their journey begins:
 At our meeting place in Barstow.........

 Once we gassed up it was time to head east. I rode with them a few miles before turning back and heading home.

 Yes, 1/2 mile ahead you stay on 15 and 2 hours later your in Las Vagas, but not these two.....I-40 east to Flagstaff, Az. for the first night.

Just got off the phone with Don.
They were in Kingman, Az.
They were gassing up and continuing to Flagstaff, Az tonight.

 Just before I got off the freeway I took this and slowed up to wave and wish two of my best friends a safe ride.
All I can ask is that our other family members here take them in along the way for a warm meal and soft bed.
    Ride safe my friends and see you on the flipside!

Tell 'em to ride safe Sooz.  They're tougher than I am.  It was 103 here today but know it wasn't as bad as the stretch from Barstow to Needles to Kingman in the daytime.  Have done that stretch a lot of times.  But usually at night in the summer time.  Ride on boys.  Have fun!
