Any Opinions re Back Seat Bags?
« on: August 18, 2010, 01:39:47 PM »

No, I'm not talking about your....   I'm considering a back seat bag to increase storage and maybe provide a little back support (not really needed).  Two week trip coming up.
09 SERG with a chopped tour pak.    Did not find any discussions here that were relevant.  Web surfing, I found two by Saddleman that seemed good.

Does anyone have any experience with these or Saddleman products in general?

Any alternatives to consider?   (T-Bags, Kuryakyn, Viking?)

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Here is the Saddlemen BR1800 Sissy Bar Bag.  "15 in. H X 11 in. W X 10 in. D (1,800 cubic inches cargo capacity) and holds one 3/4 helmet plus other cargo."

Hey Greg,

Lots of good choices out there.  For me, I went with Nelson-Rigg.  I have two of their bags (one for weekends, and a larger one), that I am very happy with, and I use them all the time.  Well made, nice features, and easy to attach and carry, while looking good on the SERG!    A couple of links below.  Have fun!

Glad I saw the fine print. Wasn't sure at first what kind of bag you were referring to.....  :D

Thanks for the comments, esp. Dave, above.

For what it's worth, I went with the Saddlemen BR1800 Sissy Bar Bag.  Got a good price from motorcyclesuperstore.com.   Seems first quality, does the job and as Dave mentioned about the N-R's looks good too.  It's surpisingly light for how substantial it feels.   :2vrolijk_21:   :2vrolijk_21:  "Two thumbs up" is my conclusion.

I really like my Harley Rolling Bag. Fits perfectly in the second row and it's so snug that I really don't need to strap it down.
