2009 Stock Street Glide Seat won't fit my 2010 SESG

Got the seat on a popular auction site.  '09 seat will not fit tight.  With bumpers removed, I insert front of seat onto flange and align rear mounting bracket hole with rear mount.  Tighten it up and seat wobbles as if it needs to be pushed forward onto mount.  If I do that, holes will not align on fender to tighten it down - seat seems too short.  I also have a Mustang touring seat which fits fine without the bumpers.  The Stock '09 Street Glide seat will not fit with the bumpers in place - i tried that too!

Anyone else experience this type of problem or have any theories?
