Why I love the FXR
« on: September 21, 2010, 10:44:05 PM »

Hi Guys,
My FXR4 is my second FXR. My first was new in 89. As you all talk about and agree upon is he handling.
For me it aslo the looks. I can catch just a small view of part of the frame work and I know what it is. These bikes
stand out. I can go to a bike event, you will see Dressers, Softails of all types, Dyna but rarley will you see an Fxr.
I had my bike serviced and the mechanic did not beleive me that my bike was as 2000 EVO Carb.  motor from the factory. Yes they have quite the following. I could have got a new one for what I paid for mine two years ago but I wanted what I wanted. If I got a new Dyna and an FXR pulled next to I would drool over it, so I got what I wanted.
Neither of my FXR bikes had stock motors, I always wanted the performance edge. Sure the new motors are bigger butI can still get plenty of tickets if I wanted. The FXR gearing is tall fo a 5 speed. Almost 80 MPH at 3,000 RPM. Good enough for me. Attached are pics of my 89 FXRS and 2000 FXR4.
Thanks for listening to me blab,

Yep, I agree with you.  Went to two bike nites in my area during the past month.  One town had about three blocks of bikes lined up on each side of the street.  Plenty of Dressers, Dynas, Choppers, Softails and Sportsters.  But only one FXR; mine.  The other bike nite may have been five times the size or larger. Besides my FXR3, I saw only five FXR's.

oh yeah baby !!!!!!!!!!   :pepper:

I enjoy my bike to the limit !!!!  I love the handling, the ride, the look.
I enjoy knowing that my bike is unique and onto itself
I like that my bike is the one that is so very different than every other bike in the bunch.
I like that when I go riding with a group, that I'm the only one riding an FXR
I always find it amusing that most peeps in the HD shops don't even know what it is
I always feel good when strangers, even peeps that aren't riding, come over and look at the bike and ask about
what year is that, 2000, OMG you're kidding me !!  It's BEAUTIFUL,  lil blush from me, yeah, she is isn't she
when did you buy it, 2000, OMG ..... did you paint it like that? no, factory custom, YOUR KIDDING, REALLY ?  Yep !

Then I always love riding away with a HUGE SMILE on my face ........ I love my FXR  !!! Yepper      :orange:          :2vrolijk_21:
