Oh Man....that Rocks!

We had all four seasons here today....started out at mid-upper 30's, cloudy, hail, snow pellets, one speck of sunshine for 5 minutes, then rain, then colder and now warming back up to a pleasant 38 degrees.

Oh we have all had simular days and think the same thoughts but after I think about selling and find a new hobby I re-think and I know my passion is riding and I am not going to get the same feeling out of chasing a dumb little white ball around a course. I know a guy who plays golf and he also shared with me about how is almost got hit in the head by a golf ball from a diifferent fairway and also the same day on the course lightning struck about a mile away as he was finishing up on hole 18. So hey even golf can test you.

Oh by the way, don't use those towels at the gas place, they scratch your paint really bad...imho

Ride Safe & Have Fun

I believe the riding gods were smilin upon you, albeit with a bit of a smirk. Its early in the season and either they do this to us to wake us up and focus for the new year - - - or maybe our reactions are just a tad slower starting out the new year. I usually gear all up with all the riding gear and take a real safe short ride first time out, hopefully tommorrow, especially careful this year as this will be my first ride on the new SEEG. Its just one of those things about living in Northern Michigan, except a few years I had a Yamaha Venture and rode year round, but that was younger and a few spills ago. Its also why i thusfar have shy'd away from Daytona. The second ride - thats the start of the season!

Jeffj, dude I have been through a lot of chit throughout my riding days as well, been down twice, once at 75 mph on my V-max, hit a squirel trying to beat me across the road, had a bat hit my helmet and almost sent me flying, had bird dive into my spokes, had to take a soft shoulder when someone dumped their exaust in front of me at 60 mph, blew a front tire at 80 mph racing a camaro, but nothing scared me as much as this did, if that thing would of hit me I would be driving a Flatboy!  and thing are different now, I would hate to have my daughter grow up without a father!

Actually, that was Jules in Pulp Fiction (quit possibly my favorite film) that had the "divine intervention".

Glad you survived to ride another day.  We might have had to call Mr. Wolf to clean up the mess and exact some revenge on those truckers.
