Price isn't bad gave $16,500 for mine last year and love it. Had some extras, glad I bought it.

Soozie & I have two 05's and are leaving for texas this week just bought another the Teal this time so I'll have all three colors produced in 05. You know I've been asked why are you bought him and not the new SGSG's well simple they have proven to be one of the best built of all the years, that and the 04's, there has been a very few problems Cam- Chain, alittle chrome pealing, but the 103's have proven to be one great motor, just all in my opinion (well and maybe a few others) bottom line I think your going to be very happy.  :2vrolijk_21:

I have to agree with Don.  I had an 04 SEEG and a very strong runner. :2vrolijk_21:

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my 10 SESG but wish they were generally as reliable as the 04/05 SEEG 103" motors! :2vrolijk_21:

Well I bought it, rode from the Fort Worth area to Atlanta, traded bikes and now am halfway home.  Spent the morning today riding some great roads in north Georgia.  This bike handles great!  It feels tighter and more stable than my '07 FLHTC that I traded in.  And that 103 motor is stout.  Very happy so far.

I bought this bike on Monday, at a dealership about 800 miles from home.  So far I have put over 900 miles on it in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.  Tomorrow I'll add another 300+ miles and Texas to that list.  To say I love this bike would be an understatement. The SE 103 motor is fantastic, I wonder how it compares to the 103 on some of the newer bikes like the Ultra Limited and RG Ultra?  We have folks riding both of these in my club.

I kind of expected this bike to be a gas hog, that couldn't be further from the truth.  So far it's gotten over 40 mpg every tankful and I had one tank today get 45 mpg!  This has been all back roads and it probably won't do as well on the interstate, but my 96ci '07 FLHTC rarely broke into the 40's.

Did I mention that I love this motor?  Passing is fun now, gives me an excuse to open her up for a few seconds.

This thing draws a crowd every time I stop, something a black electra glide just doesn't do.

I’ve been away for about 8 years now. I always liked this forum better than any other HD forum.  I’ve been reading some old posts that have jogged my memory about some mods I had made to old bikes I had.

My back problems forced me to sell my ‘04 SEEG in 2013, that nearly broke my heart.  I haven’t ridden since ...BUT, I’ve fallen into a sweet deal on an ‘06 Electra Glide standard.  And we are going to fix up a bike I gave my dad (Honda VLX) for my wife to ride.

The FLHT is the last of the Electra Glides with a carb.  This bike belonged to my brother in law and is bone stock.  I’m going to pick it up next weekend, I can’t wait.

What is the best battery these days, for the 2006 FLHT ?

Welcome back, you must be pumped.

These work great for most of us but everyone has an opinion, kinda like oil, tires, and handlebars, but these work well for me!

I have a East Penn/Dekka warehouse 6 miles away, but the batteries aren’t lasting very long if lucky 2 years.  One of the guys at Dekka claimed HD changed the spec.

Guessing planned obsolescence.   I have switched to the Renegade Batteries 600 CCA for my baggers.

https://www.renegadebattery.com/

The last battery was 129.00 shipped to my door including the usb trickle charger for it.

119.00 + 10.00 for the trickle charger and was here (Florida)  from Arizona in 3 days.

Thanks, I am pretty excited.  The last few years have been the only time since I got out of the USAF that I haven’t owned multiple bikes.

We don't have a Harley dealer here, it closed 5-6 years ago and was mostly a T-shirt shop anyway (tourist town).

Any thoughts on the Odyssey batteries?

Finally got on a Windows PC and was able to change my profile.  Couldn't do it on mu iPad.  I moved to Arkansas in 2013, Hot Springs.  We love it here, gave up the DFW rat race for good.
