Not sure where you ride and temps, but I have used Gerbing heated gear for years, down to single digits.  I have used HD Heated grips for about 8 years on my bikes without an issue, but others will tell you they suck.  Whatev.

Grips only work okay, but nothing can beat heated gloves once temps are down to 40 or less.

I couldn't agree more.  If the intent is to arrive at your destination with hands warm and intact, then heated gloves make the most sense to me.  They can be a little bit much of a pain in the arse what with the cables, and whatnot, but when they warm your hands all around and keep them toasty, what's not to like about that?  Never could get past the theory that the wind rushing past your heated grips would blow most of the heat away also.  You're relying only on a percentage of heat transferring from the grips to just the palms of your hands via the gloves which would have a high percentage of heat loss.  Anybody got a different view that puts the heated grips head and shoulders above the gloves??   Pork.

I use heated gloves also. Only paid $35 for them and have had them 4 years now. Toasty hands are happy hands! ;D
