09 SERG with leg fairings
« on: December 05, 2010, 10:57:19 PM »

While on our way to So Cal on Sat. morning, Terrie and I stopped near Buttonwillow.  Met a gentleman from Bakersfield, Sam, on his 09 SERG.

Sam is a rider and has his bike set up for touring.  Besides the chopped tour pack, he also has matching leg fairings (first I'd seen on a SERG) so thought I'd snap a few pics.

Sam said he would check out the forum here and hook up and ride with us.  I let him know that we're looking forward to it. :2vrolijk_21:

I wonder how much air is being diverted with the lowers instead of going into his breather element   :nixweiss:

While it may suck greater chance for a lot Warmer air to be sucked hence hurting the performance and while it may suck there is also some ramming that would go on woudlnt there  ::)

What a coincidence.  :nixweiss: Just dropped my bike off to have Jim at Metal Dragon put Lowers on. (Present) After great debating, we decided to paint them with only the Gray color to follow the existing paint scheme versus adding some Yellow, but now I don't have to wonder what it will look like.  :coolblue: Looks good! :coolblue: Got the 2010 vented lowers with kit.

Going to have to take off the bag reflectors too.

Looking forward to meeting Sam.

Sorry to interrupt the  :soapbox: ramming sucking discussion :soapbox: , please continue.

I had mine installed last spring. My local dealer

had a discount run. I ended up getting my lowers

factory slate gray for $381.00. I have to say,

having the lower fairing glove boxes totally

complete the lowers. And add more space for

gloves, sunglasses, etc.
