FLHTCUSE6 Premium Liners
« on: February 21, 2011, 03:04:36 PM »

Has anyone had an issue with the liner on the lid of the tour pack not wanting to stay put, almost everytime I open the tour pack the liner is unattached from the lid.  I was thinking of sticking some more velcro to help keep it put, wanted to see if anyone else has had the same issue.

I got rid of the upper liner and ended up installing the Lid Organizer that harley sells and forget about gluing it or velcroing it I just went to longer screws and used large area flat washers and bolted it in so it doesn't fall down. Works great and looks great!! If only I could get a good power plant!!

I have added velcro and then double sided tape when the velcro tape quit holding. Good luck.

The liner and the remote lock assembly have both come loose on mine. What a great job of securing these items on a $36,000.00 bike!

I was thinking the same thing, Ill have to check my remote lock and see how it is holding up.

I was thinking of putting a organizer in but the only one I see in the catalog says its not for 08 and later cvo's.  :/

Because of the remote lock assembly, I would think.

The organizer will work in an 08 or later CVO even though the book says it wont. You have to be a little creative but it will mount in there. See my post above about using the hardware for the rear spoiler on the TP.

If you don't want the organizer, just use some construction adhesive.  It'll never come down.

It does here in Arizona when it gets up to 115 degree's +   I gave up on all adhesive and just bolted it in place.

Construction Adhesive will not budge ever if you're using the right stuff.  No way!  Even Liquid Nails HDCA for $3 a tube will never fall again.

It is pretty amazing what 115+ temps can melt, including the roads. I have had the missfortune of spending two summers in AZ, one in Tucson and one in Pheonix. To darn hot for me.

I used the industrial grade velcro on mine and it has held up fine.  You can pick it up at most retail stores like Wal-Mart and Target.
