Plymouth, MA
« on: April 17, 2006, 10:42:35 AM »

On Saturday, Anne and I took a ride and made our way to Plymouth, MA.  We have been here often but I thought I would share the place for Bikers, we were there around 2-4 in the afternoon...there were at least a hundred bikes while we were there.

We were at Mony's HD that Saturday, then headed east on 106 to 3A and into town and lunch.  From there we went south on 3A, then some local roads and into the Miles Standish Sate Forest.  In the 10 years we have lived in SEMASS we have never been through!  The roads were not great, but not bad either, but it was a nice cruise through since it was pre-season and we were the only ones on the road.  from there we came back up 28 to 79.

Then on Sunday we met some good friends for Easter Dinner...in Hyannis!  Of course we took 79 to 18 to 105 past the Hen House and on to 6 and then 6A on the Cape.

Damn Bill, I must have just missed you by minutes!! must have been right in front of you, and rolled thru. I was going to stop there rolled right passed the front (many bikes) as always, but was having such an awesome time riding kept on going till I hit Rt 28/ Rte 105 in Middleboro for a cup.
That would be a most awesome meet spot for a GTG! Anytime I'll be there.
Lets set up a time

Thanks Jock,
But for a change this year we at least have some good riding weather instead of the raw, wet crap we normally have. Saturday I started out with a jacket, sweatshirt, a long sleeved Tee shirt. I was almost down to my tanktop by the time is was 2:00. ;D
I got in about 150 miles before I had to reverse the clothing to back on.
All in all a great day of riding many 2lane roads.

To the Mass guys - Which dealership do you recommend for a rental?  Boston or Sheldon?  What's the weather like in late May/early June?  Any recommended rides around Cambridge?  Besides Harvard of course?

Either the Kendall Hotel or the Cambridge Marriott at Cambridge Center.
