I’m doing a follow up posting to the fatality on the 805 Freeway on 3/21. I knew the rider, he was a fine person and a damn good instructor. If any of you hear about plans for his services, please let me know.

Man... that is horrible.....Fellow San Diegan here...... sorry for the loss.  So many, many times it is not the biker, but the other.........

Tragic accident! I used to commute on that route daily. Always dreaded the rains as the first showers after long stretches of dry weather always unleashed the oils in the concrete making for ice-like driving conditions. People down there just aren't used to non-ideal roads. Altho, the article said the guy in the Lexus SUV was going 80 in heavy rain. You can't fix stupid!

So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend Mark!
