2008 FLHTCUSE3 105th
« on: September 15, 2012, 02:03:37 PM »

Whats a fair price from a dealer?

23,000 miles, true duals, otherwise stock.  In 2.5 years we have purchased 4 bikes from this dealership.

The asking price is 25k. it has been sitting for about a month on the floor.

The misses had a 105th FXDSE2 and loved the color, but it wasnt a good enough touring bike.  She currently has a super nice 07 RKC, but wants new paint, chrome wheels, bullet turn signals, pullback bars, and a bunch of other stuff.

I think it would be cheaper in the long run to buy her a SE instead.

For what it's worth, Cox's H-D in Rock Hill, SC has a 2008 FLHTCUSE3 in the white frost/silver mist color listed at $22,495.  It has 29K miles on it.  It also has Rinehart true duals.  You might want to use this for comparison.

I see several advertised on Cycletrader from 23-28K and a couple of the 23K's are of similar low mileage.  I would guess 23-25k is a reasonable price (25k for an immaculate bike).

I absolutely love that Anniversary color scheme, and apparently Harley produced a bunch of them.

You might also want to check ChopperExchange site. I would think in the 25k price range or maybe just a little more you could buy a really nice 2009 CVO Ultra. Unless you just really want the 08' Anniversary for the colors, I can understand only wanting the color you love. Good luck. Make them a decent offer for the bike, all they can say is no.

The Anny bikes look like a copper top battery.

The Anny CVO bikes have a darker copper and look great.

She is on the fence, she doesnt think she can handle a bike that big.  She rides her RKC just fine.  I say its all mental.

We are taking a 800 mile round trip this weekend, hopefully it will rain and be miserable.  I will be snug on my SEUC, she will be cold, wet, and pissy on the RK.

That will change her mind!

Thanks for the clarification on the distinction.  What I really love is the 2008 CVO Anniversary Crystal Copper & Black Onyx color scheme.  Absolutely one of the best Harley paint schemes imo!

I am the original owner of a 2007 SE Ultra. I had the recall work done, other than that, the engine runs fine. Not burning oil at all. I think its part luck and part how I run my bike. I have owned 11 HD's all have been great bikes. I don't beat on them (not saying that anyone else has), just saying that I take good care of the bike and treat the machine like I want to own it for a long, long time.

original owner of the 105th anniversary canyon copper and black onyx and love it.  had the engine built three years ago, 10.5/1 pistons, 263E cams, heavy breather, tuner and SE slip ons.  turns 104 hp and 111 ft lbs of torque.  did i say i love it?  if i had the choice though i would go with an 09 or later with the frame, exhaust, etc... upgrades.  jmho
