I built my own frame up custom around a brand new Evo crate motor about two years ago. And so far all that's fallen off has been the license plate bracket, LOL. But it happened at a fortunate time as it was just as California made vertical plates illegal. (Jan 1, 2011.)
Here's some build photos and a first ride video, actually it's the first ride other than just around the block.
This is a Santee six up, four out, 45 degree raked frame.
Brand new Evo crate motor, $2800 from St Paul Harley with free shipping!
Scribbing out the lines to build the top motor mount.
Deep into wiring hell!
Smoothing out the rear fender chain relief.
I had to re-radius the rear fender to get it to match the tire by cutting wedges into it and re-welding.
I entered the 2011 Easyriders show in Los Angeles and grabbed this passing hottie to sit on my bike.
I (much to my surprise) won 2nd place in the Evo radical class!
