100 watt amplifier problem on 2011 Screaming Eagle Stree Glide

My 100 Watt amp failed after aproximatley 3000 miles of riding in Florida.  I have spoken to two local dealers and both are reporting back order stocking from Harley.   There are two dealers in the US that have them in stock but won't release them.  It may be some time before I get a replacement.  Has anyone else had a simular experience?

That sucks. This is a warranty repair and you can't even get the part. Mine only has 1,900 miles on it so far and no problems. I had a 2006 Street Glide and went thru 3 HK radios. Took almost 2 months to get the first replacement referburished unit. It only lasted 3 months, the second one lasted 1 year. Good thing I had an extended warranty at the time, it only cost me a $50 deductable one time. My son now has the 06 and he told me the stereo is dead again!!! It will cost $200 now to repair it at Iron Cross. Hope you can get a replacement amp soon.

doesn't sound to me like a mass problem but rather, why would the dealer stock something so new that shouldn't need replaced yet?  i'm sure HD will get ya one within a week.  mine  hasn't skipped a beat.......i love this friggin' setup!

My amp quit around 4,000 miles.  It started cutting out like a loose connection might cause, then just quit.  I know it was the amp 'cause everything else was checked and the replacement fixed the problem.  And, it took 3-plus months to get the replacement.  I blame it on the 110 engine. ::)

I have 80 kms on my new CVO and the right speaker started turning on and off, then I got chattering on both sides, when I turn the bike off and back on it starts working for a few minutes. I guess I have to book it in for warranty, no solutions that anybody here has found?

Have the same problem. Barely hit 300 miles and the right channel keeps dropping out, around 600 miles I lost all audio. Comes back after the amp cools down. Dropped the bike off today for the 1K service and made the service department aware. They didn't act like it was a new problem. They told me if it was the unit it was a day out. Guess we will see on Friday.

Damn.  just picked up my new SESG on wednesday of last week.  the one thing i love, besides the engine, is the stereo.  not looking forward to waiting for replacement amp or head unit.  i'm taking it in for 1000 mile service this weekend.  gonna ask how many theyve seen with stereo issues.
