On the way back to Albuquerque we toured through Lincoln County NM. This was the site of the Lincoln County Cattle War and history of the Cattle War includes Billy the Kid and the local County Sheriff.

Wow - I was there last Monday on my 1900 mile loop from Austin/Big Bend/Ruidoso/Austin.  Pretty interesting place, we ate at the little cafe there in Lincoln - pretty good food.

It's been about 10 yrs since we have been there. The caverns were amazing and we had a great time. For anyone who hasn't been there you need to go. The wife and I are going to try and make it back there hopefully later this year or next.

It was a good trip.  Got caught in the fires in BB, and the wind was blowing 20,  gusting to 50 the entire trip.  NM was great as usual - always have fun there.
