What settings?
« on: April 24, 2011, 03:26:46 PM »

I do most of my rideing 2 up,I weigh 210 and my wife weighs 130 ,What would be a good setting with the dial on my streetglide? I read the book and have it set at about # 14. The problem is when I ride solo It is very stiff. Can anyone give me a setting that would work for both 2 up and solo?
                  Thanks

Yes, if you have it dialed for two up comfort then it is very stiff when riding solo....especially if you removed the tour pack.

You have to adjust according to preference.  Personally, I prefer the stiffer setting for better handling in the twisties.......kind of like a sports car. :2vrolijk_21:

It's so easy to change, why not adjust as needed? Takes less than a minute.

You could adjust the settings softer until you find the firmest setting that you can enjoy solo. Then throw on the BSR and see if that setting is firm enough with her on board. If so great, a comprimise, if not agree as above adjust as needed.

You guys are so right, I took it from setting 14 and dropped it to 10, will try that and see what happens,
          Thanks for the input.

I've found the settings in the manual to be spot on. Try the factory recommended settings first.
