This punk MUST go to prison and be introduced to any bikers there!!!!  I am afraid that his parents and a high priced attorney will bail him out of this whole mess.

Simple;

Have him live in Northern Virginia and have to perform community service in downtown DC...commuting on a scooter...no High occupancy lane access, main line traffic.. :nervous:...we would let him wear a helmet though...

He needs to be scared straight...

We'll see if he gets what he deserves...attempted MS...

Frankly, I find these charges remarkably insignificant. I'd suggest attempted murder might be a good start. It continues to amaze me that these AG's and Judges don't look at cages as dangerous weapons, especially in road rages situations like this. Would the end result been any different had he shot a little low at a biker riding by the road, in the leg with a shotgun?  In that scenario they would have had a manhunt, and he'd never see the light of day again.  And, I'm not sure if he only has to post 10% of that $5,000, and if so, that's a slap on the face. Should be $50,000 at least.

I can only pray this guy gets what he really deserves, either in the courts, or in an alley some day. I think it was mighty admirable that they were considerate enough to offer up his home address. We've got no place in society for POS like this, imho.

Had a cage driver intentionally run me off the road HEAD ON  several years ago. I went into someones front yard sideways managed to stop without going down. There are some really F'd up people out there. I hope they make an example out of this kid so maybe the next kid will think twice before doing something like this.

Sounds to me like this kid has not lived in the real world yet. Being 18, he has just started to wipe his own a$$. His parents have given him everthing he has ever received in life. He might get a taste of reality here real soon. At least we can only hope  :o

The fact that the punk boasted to the cop that he did it on purpose shows the arrogance this little puke was infused with getting to the ripe old age of 18.

He's in for what we refer in the military as a "significant emotional event". :'(

What a maggot, isn't that attempted murder?  Or was he trying to just kill him a little bit.  I live in NH and there is a huge difference in driving and all around personal rudeness when comparing the southern part of the State versus the much calmer northern part of the State.  I'm sure most States have similar situations.

I was deliberately being pushed into guardrails last year not 20 miles from the same area while on my SERK from a female driver on a cell phone with a mini van full of kids. That's when I brought up the question of what to do in that situation on this forum.  Some suggested lug nuts, ball bearings etc.  I carry a few half dollar sized rubber balls and deliberately drop (only as a last resort) them if someone is tailgating and I'm stuck in traffic, I make sure they see me, so far I have only done it once and they back way off.  In his case this poor guy didn't have a prayer.  A message in the court rooms needs to be sent as there is no room for this rage on our roads.

He needs help alright the two shots should be about right, one to each leg as a warning on his first offense.

I was once attacked by a car in So. Cal. as I posted on another thread and attempted murder is the correct charge.

How's that one joke go, where the PITA person went to a biker rally, they put him through the initiation of sorts.

With that is mind, can we duct taped him under the outhouse?   :D

Only $5,000 bail and no restriction on driving if he gets out. We need to talk to the judge too.

As I lay here in pain from the recent scooter wreck that I think was a 'accident', I'm reading this and wondering how I'd feel if it was a result of an 'intentional' pulling-out into me. Whew, makes me shudder to think what's out there driving the cages we face while persueing our 2 wheel passion.  We must remember that we're no match for the cars in the road rage arena that our streets have become......this isn't a 'game' anymore, it's become all-out combat.  :end: :rifle: aaarrgh.  spyder

Amen brother, that is why I believe that we should be allowed to discharge a pistol into any vehicle that threatens our life. We are allowed to shoot in self defense if a gun or knife is involved right? How is a car vs motorcycle any less deadly? Intentional or not your grave is dug to the same depth.

Welcome to camp at my place or if rains you can head into the barn, does have a flush toilet and a sink.  Even if you want to camp out during bike week I'm only about 30 minutes away.  So yes I can put you up, log home is tiny but the barn is large, all 3 floors.

Any takers for bike week, you would be camping by an open fire right near a pond, you would need to put your food in the barn as those pesky black Bears like to play with the food.

I'm a trauma nurse.  Over the weekend a sad case came in:http://www.hometownlife.com/article/20110531/NEWS10/110531001/Livonia-motorcyclist-killed-crash
It's hard enough driving the roads when cagers are inattentive or on their cell, let alone intentionally "road rage" trying to drive a bike off-road.

Jon (my hubby) is a sheriff deputy, and he said this would be "aggravated assault with intent to do great bodily harm" or "attempted murder" (both felonies) since a car IS considered a lethal weapon.

And as the parent of a 17 year old boy with a lead foot, the cockiness of this lad is appalling.  Did he not consider the consequences that he could've maimed or killed the biker because of a little impatience?  (rhetorical question, I know) :confused5:

Yesterday I got called in for a passenger that was drunk and fell of the back of the bike after a car collision in a parking lot--lots of road rash and broken ankle.  Not many of the hospital staff ride, and you get jaded day after day seeing so many MVAs and accidents......but they were giving her a hard time b/c she was drunk.  I was a little outraged--she was the victim!  She was on the back of the bike and struck by a car!! As an ICU nurse for the last 16 years, I wouldn't be caught dead on a "donorcycle." But then I met my hubby, and we have been riding for the last 4 years, and I dig it. But being on the back of a bike makes me very conscious of how vulnerable we are, despite being ATGAT.  We are no match for a couple thousand pound car controlled by an idiot road-rager.....  :jack:

If this incident occurred in Michigan, the kid would not serve jail time.  Our jails are filled with "violent" criminals, and our hug-a-thug political system would let him go since this is a first offense--slap him on the wrist and give him community service (not the mental help he clearly needs). Not the punishment he deserves, but I have found that those deserving of revenge eventually get theirs hundredfold....."Vengeance is mine saith the Lord"  Just hope no one else is injured or killed in the interim........ :soapbox:

Nuff said.
