A little history for you....

OK history buffs.....   take a look at the picture and see if you can tell me where I was last Saturday.  I will give you a hint...it was destroyed by bombs during WW2.  Later rebuilt by the Italians........another hint?  look at where I am located.

The road going up.

My Garmin for the bike has yet to show up, so I am using my Zumo 550 with the car mount.  Hey at least I had a place to plug it into.......

Not Salerno, but the actual town is called Cassino.  The Abby was bombed during WW2 thinking that the Germans were using it as a headquarters of some sort. 

They call it Monte Cassino here and the place is The Abby where Monks live today.  Great ride to go on if anyone is ever in the area.  I have been there several times, but this is the first I had a BSR photographer.
