Journey to and from Tahoe.....

HOGASMS (Doug & Cathey), Bojiboy (Greg & Lou), GMM/AMM (Gary & Anita) met Terrie and I here at our home mid day on Friday and we headed to meet the rest of the group in the bay area.

We headed south on Hwy. 99 but quickly ran into both lanes totally stopped.  I decided we'd take a bit more scenic route and we headed over the Hwy. 160, aka the river road, following the river from Sacramento to the bay area.....taking us across the Sacrameto River in two different locations on the ferry.

The Sacramento River is wide at this point.  This is where Humphrey, the humpback well took a wrong turn a few years ago and ended up right here in this area for a couple weeks.

We stopped in Locke for lunch then on to the Best Western in Hayward.  Unloaded and headed for Jim's shop, Metal Dragon.

We hooked up with Jim (hd-dude), Jeff (Envithix), Don (D31960), Andy (ak), Ernie (Erniezap), Dick (Jock), Chip & Nancy (SBB) and Jon & Susan (Jonga & wasjons).

Soon we were on our way back to the hotel.

Plans were to pull out at 7:30 a.m. headed for the Napa Valley....
