The floorboard bracket (not the floorboard) tapped out on the asphalt and slammed Jon and his bike into the side of the hill.
Believe it or not, he was damn fortunate.....just a few scrapes, bumps and bruises, he rode this bike a couple hundred miles back home and went to work the next day.
Needles to say, when all the paint is replaced, the floorboard extenders will not be going back on this bike.
When we got to the GTG at Tahoe, I heard about a couple other bad experiences as a result of the floorboard extenders. If you have them and you're riding in the twisties you just can't hang with the pack. Several of us (including Terrie and Susan) had just passed that same curve and non of us came close to scrapping.
