Engine Idle Temperature Management System
« on: July 03, 2011, 11:39:50 PM »

I wanted to make sure this function was turned on on my bike. I followed the instructions in the owners manual but after turning  the ignition switch on and making sure the off/run switch was in the run position. The cruise indicator lamp never flashes green, red or any other color. :confused5: anyone have a suggestion on what to try next?

Thanks
Bill

Are you missing the throttle step?

Here are the 4 steps to enable it:

1. Turn ignition switch to ON position & push eng. OFF/RUN switch to RUN (do not start motorcycle)

2. Push the throttle to roll-off position & hold. (in other words forward)

3. After about 3 seconds, the cruise light will either flash green (this means it is enabled) or red (which means disabled)

4. Repeat procedure as needed to enable or disable system.

I forgot to mention that step but I did turn the throttle forward and waited but nothing happened.
Thanks

This is not for your year... but you may need the dealer to activate it...

You have to turn the cruise control off before you can use the light I think.

Roll the throttle all the way forward (WFO)

I think the TTS tuner alternates between cylinders that it shuts the fuel off to....if your tuner guy sets it up that way.
