Thanks Everyone, The prayers are helping somehow I'm sure and I'm having a few good days mixed in with the bad ones now, my odds arent looking so good, been given a 15% chance to make it a year, and that might go down after the pet scan and mri to see if its spread eleswhere, but on the upside, I have been given 15% !!, Im goin to fight this, looking at other alternatives right now, some of my friends have put together a fund raiser to help my family with all of this, I'm not asking for any $$ from any of you, just support, and if any of the cali people that I know, or dont know would like to attend the benefit, Fred, Gina, JC, Jim, Jonga,Duke, Isellbulls, Susy, Andy, Ernie, Joe etc. I will give you a ticket to come see me and Laurie if you like. Thanks for the invite Mike.  However, I'm going to have to pass.  A 200 mile round trip on a work night is bit more than I'm able to do.  At my age, I'm a real light weight on a work night.....especially when ya have to get up at 5:00 a.m.   I remember the days when that wouldn't have been nothing.

I will be at Jim's on Sat. give me a call, maybe we can stop by for a few before we head back over the hill.

I feel ya JC, I think I know whats its like to feel 110 years old now? , ahh the good ol days, when 200 miles was just to go cool off and had no where to really go, one thing I can tell ya, NEVER EVER again, will I complain about how far I have to go to get somewhere now.  I have the official results of the bioptcy yesterday, its not liver or lung or nodes cancer even though it has spread to these areas, its Metastatic Melanoma stage 4. Theres some newly approved FDA drugs for melanoma that are promising though still in the clinical testing stage, so I'm going to be a government guinea pig, the treatments cost $30,000 each chemo session, so I am not a cheap date after all. V.A. will cover most of the costs I hope?, Still waiting the officail word from Uncle Obama on where the hell that moneys going to come from?, hopefully out of his personal frickin pension plan? or maybe ground Air Force 1 for week or so? . Have a brain scan today or tommorow to see if radiation is needed or not too. Keep your fingers crossed for me on this one. I want to thank everyone for the prayers and support and kind posts. I'll try and keep you updated best I can and hopefuly with better news than I'm gettin now.

Well, Im just on a roll, MRI shows I have it in my brain too, so i cant do the clinical testing now, standard chemo and radiation only, and doc says 4 to 12 months to live depending on if I choose the treatment or not. Goin to look into other options now. Thanks again for the prayers.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do, Mike.  Most important thing is that you do what's right for you, and that you live every day to the best you can, with the love of your family.  I'll be thinking of you.
