Today was a big day for one of our most admired members, Ironhorse (Mark). After all these years of drooling over our CVO bikes he finally received HIS Gold Key.

Well I just came back from a little cruise up the coast with my neighbor John. Dave, are you sure it's an '06? It feels brand new to me. Rides tight, the tranny has a nice positive notch when shifting and the brakes are strong. I cannot stop smiling. And to top it all off I found a buyer for my Blue '01. It's incredible how this whole thing fell together. The stars and planets must be in line or something. I think I'll buy a lotto ticket......

So it's official, I am a CVO Owner.

Maybe I ought to change my name from IronHorse to Smilin' Eagle.

Congrats on the new ride...actually the '06 is a good bike. Last of CVOs with the SE 103 engine. Not many problems with it. Some paint issues early on in the model year, but otherwise a great bike. I see many miles and smiles ahead.

That's one of the reasons I picked THIS particular bike. I knew it has the tried and true 103. Dave already took care of the paint under warranty. It also had throttle by cable, something I prefer over the newer throtle by wire. I just prefer the feel and response of the cable. Most of all it was owned by Dave, a professional mechanic, so I know everything is in working order the way it should be.

Congrats on the new ride, kinda partial to the color. You need a taller windshield or a scraper to get the bugs off your teeth from smiling so much.

Jon,

The bike IS a gem alright. I just LOVE riding it. It's everything I expected and more. I can't say enough good things about it, or how well Dave took care of it. I'm not sure I would be any happier with a new bike, because I'd HAVE to go out and do stuff to it. But with this one, Dave did everything I would do to it. And they way everything came together and like Doc said, the bikes all stay in the family.
