We all have favorites and irritants. What are yours? Please list at least 5 of each from the CVO libe since '99.

The '12 FLTRXSE in Maple Metallic/Vivid Black could potentially make either list, pending live viewing. It'll either be the uber-kewl Root Beer Express or the Outhouse Glide. No middle ground.

Worst wheels award goes to '09-'10 FXDFSE/2, as does the overall worst model award.

There's much more good than bad throughout CVO history.

I'm surprised you didn't include the FLHRSEI. And maybe both the FLHTCUSE4 and FLHXSE3 in Ruby/Typhoon.

Was keeping the list to ones I'd actually ridden for at least a tank full. If I don't have to have actually ridden them the Road King goes to the top of my list and the red SEUC and the red late model SERG definitely get honorable mentions. For whatever reason the red(ish) SESG never really caught my eye though...

Negative . . . and I know I am going to be in trouble for this . . . all of the CVO convertibles . . . only because of the price point for what you get . . . a $30k softail! Love the bike with 103s and 110s, but not the price point! I would just buy another vivid black Fatboy and do my own add ons.

I've come almost full circle on the gold 2003s. First time I saw one I loved it. I'm not usually a big fan of gold paint schemes. But liked that one a lot. Then, like all the other 100th Anniversary bikes, they were everywhere. Harley seemed to make so damned many of them. You still see more gold spare parts on eBay than any other model.

Because there were so many I got a bit burned out on them. Now they've become far less prominent. See them less and less. And I find I'm returning to my first impression. Good looking bikes.

IMHO

My worst Harley experience/bike was 2007 FLHTCUSE2

I called her Black beauty

Paula called her Black widow

4 motors replaced at about 5k miles

Had her for two yrs, rode her 15k miles-ish (4 mtr's)

Lost my azz, I try not to talk about it

On a good note !!!!

In July of 02, I went in to buy my 03 Anniversary Fatboy . . . vividly remember seeing the 03 SERK on the floor that day . . . liked it, but it wasn't black and could not press my wife to go that high then for a scoot, so happily bought the Fatboy . . . tweaked it road it, and got run over in December of '10 . . . totaled the Fatboy. When I started looking again, put my money down in June 09 for an 10 RKC . . . while waiting, started looking around for a used 03 Fatboy . . . thought I would replace that one too for nostalgic reasons. Bumped into the 03 SERKs in my search . . . grew on me again . . . did a national hunt . . . got a steal of a deal in the summer of 2010 with only 3700 miles on it, dropped my order for the 10 RKC and never looked back.

The 03 SERK is my first CVO . . . I doubt it will ever be sold by me. Just looking to add another CVO to the stable . . . where is that 13 FLHRSE5? . . . 12 months to go to find out!

I do know this, after experiencing my first CVO, as my primary scoot, I will never be without a CVO as long as they are making them!

Even used, it has been a whole different experience, inside and out, tweaking, riding, and enjoying the scoot. And the CVO community on this forum has been amazing help! You really feel a part of a special owner's group.

Man, I am getting a little too fluffy here . . . but, after 11 surgeries and 18 months in a wheelchair, bought the 03 SERK two days after I started walking again . . . two years later (and only 2K more miles) I still ride better than I walk! Only this summer became healthy enough to get on it and work on it--can't get enough of it now.

The 03 SERK feels a lot better than that Dr. Evil electric scooter I was on for a year and a half!

When I entered the Dealer in '06 I fell in love with the VRSCSE2 riight away.
First I could ressist but one time I asked the dealer for a offer. He made a very good one and the bike was mine.

Same with the FLHRSE3. With only one difference. That bike I bought on the spot in 2008. It was waiting for an owner for over a year.

Both bikes make me smile. Everytime I make a trip.

I prefer the dyna and softail breeds (and some are better than others) , I'm not a big fan of touring bikes but I wouldn't say that would I ? (oops!)

Well since I've had many bikes and only one CVO I don't know a lot about the rest except what I've read/heard here. My list is one item long.

So far my fav is the one I got, the 2011.5 FLHTCUSE6 Black Ember/Rio Red. I haven't had any of the problems that have plagued some model year bikes although it's a lot hotter than my 103 upg. '03 was even with Bub TDX exh. and PCV/Autotuner upgrades. Love it, especially like the Black Ember in the sun.

Like some have said before...it's the one I ride right now. Although, my overall fave are the '09 FLTRSE3 color schemes, particularly the Electric Orange/Vivid Black combo. NICE!

Best,, 2004 Pumpkin,, made a mistake and handed that one down to the wife when i bought the worst, a 2008 CVO Ultra... The funnest Harley i've ever riden is my 2008 Fat Bob,,, freaking awesome.. but long rides will kill ya. I'm seriously thinking of putting a 126 RB Orca in this bike... Just sold my POS Jims 131 junker for a small profit, only took two years to do it.. now have a little money so on the north edge of picking up the phone and pulling the trigger.

Well the bikes that started the CVO craze were the 2004 SEEG's. I have had many CVO's but the 04 and 05 SEEG models were by far the best HD ever produced IMO!!!! I still own one of the 04's. I think the worse CVO's were any 2007 models with the 110 motor. I really didn't like the paint either.

I would have to say my 2012 SESG is my favorite. I waited quite a while before pulling the trigger and purchasing. I really wanted the 2011 SESG in Kryptonite but the Ruby Red called my name. Since I've never had another CVO, I don't have much to go on but I've owned 10 ranging from a 1972 electra glide up to this current bike, I can say my least favorite was my 1997 Ultra. Put 48,000 miles on it but was glad when it was gone. The 2002 1200 Sportster was not a great bike, either but that's another story....

2004 FLHTCSE in either color pumpkin or black and blue.

I toured the plant in York and saw the Black and Blue sitting in the lobby and that hooked me.

My 07 SERK has been a good one, Didn't think i would ever get rid of it, But made a mistake today and stop by one of the local dealers, They have a 2012 SEUC, Yellow & Black (Yellow Jacket) Think i might just pull the Trigger.

SERK3, if I had not been sold on the Ruby Red SESG at SMHD, I would really be interested in that same yellow SEUC sitting up front. Since I did purchase the SG however, I think I'll keep it for a long time. I can't believe somebody bought the yellow jacket 2012 SEUC, put 3000 miles on it and decided nah, don't like it. Looks showroom new and ready for you to bring home....go for it. Jay will be more than willing to make you a good deal. He sold me mine (and my buddies SERG Black/white). Good luck.
