The only place that i know of around okc that knows much about bikes is freedom cycles by 29th and robinson.  I have heard nothing but bad things from most places here in Ok so can't help you much.  There are a few good machine shops but no where i would trust leaving my bike.

I have heard nothing but bad about okie city.  I know greg from r&b.  he is a pretty good guy.  Just a little different. lol.  Havn't really heard anything bad about him.  Just have to get on his ass to get stuff done sometimes.

You are right about Greg being different.  He is a nice guy... just different.  I have only bought parts there... never had any work done there.

Scott, any update?

Been mighty busy here in the past 1, 1 1/2 weeks. 124" went to Syracuse, 3, 98" T/C's, cylinder boring, 2 sets of heads, a Evo with a notch cut into the crank pin, a Shovel trans job, Evo XL ignition repair, 4-5 dyno tunes, and a Iron XL custom belt drive set-up.(that we may market) along with our retail walk-ins, and NYS Inspections. Other than that, were just sitting around, playing with our yo-yo's. :)
Back to the 110"er.
Bike sounds absolutely horrific!!
I couldn't see how anyone could even THINK of driving it.
We secured the go-ahead from the warranty folks now we will move forward.

Got the cam chest open and the pump is a mess.
Looks like a lifter roller came unglued, and went thru it.
Small metal particulate in the cam chest as well.
Crank has .004" TIR.
For safety sake, going to pull the heads and look at the cylinder walls, and may lift the front cylinder off to check the male rod. :)
Scott, out.

Step my step, step by step.
Forgot to mention that rear intake cam lobe is fubared.
Cylinders are scored, but torque hone may clean as many times it looks worse than what it is.
And yes, we are going to pull the engine down/inspect, after we get the full estimate submitted.
Bottom line here, is to have our client grinning, once completed. :)

I have taken my 96" to two different dealers and got the "It's normal" speech as well. Really aggrivating.

"It's normal" is actually a true statement.  Of course, "normal", in this case, is certainly not a good thing.  But is does seem "normal" for these motors to rattle and create all kinds of scary noises...   :nixweiss:    >:(

One of the local dealers here in CNY, told our client that "they all sound like that, and the fairing is pulling the noise up into your face."
The fairing part is true.
4-5th time this year alone, we've seen mis-diagnosis from dealers.
BTW, the client is going to turn lemons into lemonade on this. :)

Had my 11 CVO in for 10K service.  Young mechanic test rode it and wasn't happy about top end noise.  He asked one of the old timers (HD drag racer) mechanic to take it out.  He is a friend.  His report is that he thought it was a little noisier than usual, and he had the young mechanic note that on the work order.  Pretty much a CYA if something went wrong later.  The noise doesn't bother me much, when I'm not riding I wear 2 hearing aids. ;D
