D408F tire problems
« on: August 11, 2011, 10:31:15 PM »

Saw this on another site devoted to Road Glides.  Hope they don't mind that I took one of their photos (sorry it is so small but you can magnify it).  Anyway several folks have reported sidewall cracks on the Dunlop D408F tires that come on the CVO RG Ultras.  Don't know what other bikes may have them.  :nixweiss:

I checked mine and found a small crack developing in the sidewall very near to the rim and running for about 10 to 12 inches on my front tire.  Not nearly as deep or wide as in this photo.  My dealer immediately said he would install new tire and have moco pay for it.  First one he had seen be agreed that it is a problem, and a safety issue.  Glad he stepped up to the plate for me.

Just had mine replaced. Looked just like the picture.
