Vieux Quebec
« on: May 28, 2006, 08:31:49 PM »

Neal, Sue, Anne and myself decided to have dinner in Quebec City Saturday Night.  So We made a quick 2-day trip (1015mi. for us).  naitram and I used it as a warmup ride for Cripple Creek.

Cruising Canada...however naitram's idea of "10 clicks" meant of a second hand of a watch as I realized that we were getting off at the next exit, far sooner than implied!

as bill said we had a great time, i'll try and get my pics up later today.

weather was great except for that stretch of fog in northern VT on the way up. and it seemed to be raining bugs a lot.

he forgot to mention the other part of that detour after "10 clicks" became 2 and we went by the dinosaurs next to the monster trucks.... the road became gravel then pavement and back to gravel and then pavement over and over and over until we were finaly back where we wanted to be. the route that we had to detour around because the bridge over the highway was blocked off. but by that time of the day were were back to riding in just T-shirts so it was all good. ( in the fog zone it was 2 layers of sweat-shirts heavy gloves and the butt-warmer running

saturday evening was definatley a good time nothing like some well earned cold adult beverages with good friends after a days ride. and the location and weather combined to make it a perfect evening.

the only thing that was a bummer in the city was that nothing was open for breakfast before 0700
