Hey Guys
   I'm a newbie, think this is a great site and have been learing alot from everyone. I read the owners manual and it says the heated grips and seats only work with the acc. on, just thought I'd help out.

Then the manual is wrong.......the MoCo sent out a bulletin about wiring up the seat so it would work without the switch being on, sometimes they get plugged into the wrong connector under the seat, and the grips are on a completely different circuit with their own fuse.

Thats funny, mine work with the switch off.  I'll check the manual to see if it has changed.  It was built in March.

Hey, your right I just read the bulletin that says the manual is wrong and to check the wiring just like you said. I always learn something when I'm here. Thank you.

My heated grips did not work when I first tried them, really needed them in March!!!!  The owners manual says you must have on the accessory switch for the grips to work.  The heated seat works independently of the accessory switch.

I had a HD Dealer fix my heated grips during the 1,000 mile check up.  Now my grips work, but not with the accessory switch.  I do not have to turn on the switch for the heated grips to work.

This is a common problem.  Covered under warranty.
